Most of these market yards deal in fresh fruits, vegetables and food grains. The necessary marketing information including the prices of various commodities is regularly uploaded on www.agmarknet.gov.in for the information of the stakeholders. The APMC’s also organize Farmer’s awareness camps in the growing areas to disseminate information on market intelligence and novel technologies/ methods of marketing. The Government provides grant in aid to meet the expenses of construction of market yards & other activities to the board from time to time. As of now, 26 wholesale markets of the state are connected through Electronic-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) where sale of farm produce is done through online platform.
