This is a centrally sponsored scheme under ‘Support to Agriculture Extension’. The primary objective of this scheme is to use Television and Radio as a vehicle for agriculture extension.

The programmes on agriculture activities, schemes and programmes of the department, good practices and success stories are shown to the farmers through Doordarshan telecast (Krishi Jagat/ Krishi Darshan) and area specific agricultural programmes of 30 minute radio transmission, 6 days a week are aired through All India Radio using FM transmitters viz. KisanVani from Dharamshala and Hamirpur to create awareness, share advisories and increase outreach to the farmers of all areas.

A Toll Free Kisan Call Centre, 1800-180-1551 is established to satisfy the queries and address the farming problems of the farmer.
