PRAMPARAGAT KRISHI VIKAS YOJANA (PKVY)

This centrally sponsored scheme was implemented in 2015-16 under the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA). Its objective is to increase soil fertility and promote the cultivation of chemical-free crops in accordance with climatic conditions. Under this scheme, farmers are organized into groups by Government-approved service providers and registered under the PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) based on organic standards for crops and farming practices, after which certification is provided.
